All-Sorts Birthday Scarf plus tutorial

Description

Scarf that I made my brother for his birthday. Here, I'll even tell you how to make it.
You need:
Super-chunky yarn (I used Sirdar Big Softie), two balls each of the outer colours and one of the central colour
The biggest crochet hook you can find (mine came out of a Tunisian crochet kit that didn't use normal sizing, so I have no idea. I think it was about 10mm, though)
Scissors

I'm assuming you're using the same colours as me for this, adjust for preferance. Also, these are English directions. When I say dc (double crochet), that's sc (single crochet) for americans, when I say tr (treble), that's dc (double crochet) for you guys. Apart from ch (chain), there are no other stitches in this. It's so easy.

Foundation row: ch 150 or until scarf is as long as you think it needs to be
Row 1: *ch 3 (counts as 1st treble), tr in each ch to end of row, break off and change colour*
Row 2-6: repeat instructions between *
Row 7: ch 3 (counts as 1st treble), tr in each ch to end of row
Row 8: ch 1, dc in second ch from hook, dc in each ch to end of row, break off and sew in ends
dc in each chain across ends of scarf in black to neaten ends, break off and sew in ends

Done!

Try it and let me know how you did!

Even pretending I know what a double crochet is (it sounds like a frontiersman's nickname), this is way too complicated for me even to read.
But the pattern is very nice and it looks a very warm scarf.
And you and your brother are very much alike.
